You say that we don't have to play at Expert level. Does that mean we get to choose our own level?
Up to a point, yes it does. You may choose the level that you wish to play at the QS stage. The Tour Director (TD) does, however, reserve the right to change your playing level at any time during the season. Please read the QS page very carefully.
I regularly score +17 or more for a round when I play Expert but I don't want to play a different level. Can I still play Expert level?
Yes, but if you hit scores like that all the time, you're obviously not going to be able to compete at Expert level and we would suggest you play at Advanced. But if you insist on not wanting to play at a lower level, then so be it. Our handicap system is not, however, designed to help bad players win, only to compete until they get better. May we suggest the CGA Tour. They play exclusively at Expert level and is a very good tour.
Will the tour have player stats?
Yes.
Will there be a Money List or Points system?
Yes there will be a Money List. We will be paying out in Euro's. Of course, it won't be real money.
Who's picking the courses we will play?
We have a Course Selection Coordinator who selects courses to suit tournaments. Beginning this season, we invite everyone to get involved in the testing process. Vote in the course testing polls and give reasons why a course should or should not be selected. This is your chance to be heard regarding course selections.
What about the playing conditions, who's setting those?
The Course Selection Coordinator will also set the tournament conditions after reviewing testing comments.
How are you going to stop cheating?
This is an almost impossible thing to do, but we will try. Our Launcher will keep track of strokes that are played to make sure no one is restarting. It will also keep track of programs running in the background to make sure people aren't manipulating the game.
I've deleted my player/bought a new PC/put in a new hard drive/been hit with a virus and not made a backup. What do I do?
Simply create a new player with the same name as before and play as you normally would.
I need to create a new player and the tournament has already started. What do I do?
Just create a new player and play the tournament as normal. One benefit of the Launcher over GameWatcher is that the holes played no longer matters.
I've played a hole/round or two using my CLM player by mistake/my kid brother used my CLM player/my dog played a few holes using my CLM player. What do I do?
As the Launcher records strokes "live", it will not have an effect as long as you are using the correct type of player (Pro vs. Amateur) .
I'm on the first tee and I've set the wrong conditions/I'm using the wrong player. What do I do?
The Launcher will automatically advise you if you have incorrect settings. Simply return to the main menu of the game and start a new game with the correct settings. Do not close TW.
I've started playing and notice I've set the wrong conditions. What do I do?
If you start playing despite the warnings made by the Launcher that you have the incorrect settings, you will be automatically DQ'd.
I've just played my tournament round and I played like crap. What do I do?
Practice, practice, practice.
I'm part way through my round and I crash. What do I do?
At this point, it will result in a DQ.

My Score is BLUE on the leaderboard, why?
You have made some form of mistake.
My score I shot is not what shows up on the leaderboard, why?

I have been DQ'd, why?
Click your name on the leaderboard and it will tell you why.
Why is it called The Clambakers Tour.
Because The Clambakers Tour Stop and Chowder Kitchen was to long.
I don't believe you
OK then, how about this. The Clambakers were a group of PGA2000 players who used to meet online on Saturday Nights for a friendly tournament. This group does not meet anymore, so we just highjacked the name :-) |
