Each tournament will consist of two rounds (except large purse events or Majors, which will be 4 rounds). The rounds are to be played Thursday thru Sunday. Conditions for each of the rounds will be given at 24:00 (GMT) Wednesday night prior to the beginning of the tournament, with the tournament becoming active at 00:01 (GMT) Thursday. You may play your rounds at any time between the Thursday start date and Sunday end date. As long as a player completes all rounds by 24:00 (GMT) Sunday they will be counted. This is to allow some flexibility into your own schedule.
To help those players not resident in the UK you will find a list of time conversions below. These times do not take into account any time changes like Daylight Saving Time etc. They will however give you an idea of the time differences. The times below are general and are not to be taken as overriding the GMT times above. UK residents please be aware that GMT is not the same as British Summer Time.
- GMT - 00:01 Thursday to 24:00 Sunday
- Europe - 01:01 - Thursday to 01:00 Monday
- E Coast US - 19:01 Wednesday to 19:00 Sunday
- W Coast US - 16:01 Wednesday to 16:00 Sunday
- Australia - 10:01 Thursday to 10:00 Monday
Large/Major Tournaments
Because these tournaments have large purses, members are required to "complete" three(3) regular season tournaments prior to receiving a teetime for these events.
Restarts
Restarting of rounds is not allowed and will result in a DQ.
Quitting
Quitting a round mid-way through will also result in a DQ.
Disconnects
Due to the fact that resuming rounds is not possible in LAN or IP2IP mode, disconnects will result in a DQ. To minimize the chances of this happening, it is recommended that you close any background programs that pay access the internet automatically to check for updates, such as Antivirus & AntiSpyware programs.
Idle time Limit
The Launcher will disconnect within 1 Hour, should it remain Idle, and will result in an Automatic DQ. Please make sure that you have time to play your 18 Holes without letting the game Idle for more than 1 Hour.
Tournament Conditions
Tournament conditions must be set correctly. If you have set a condition incorrectly, such as Sky Condition, the Launcher will alert you that you have done so. Simply return to the Main Menu within the game and set the conditions correctly. If you begin your round with the wrong conditions, you will be DQ'd. Additionally, Mulligans and Gimmes are to be turned off or set to zero. The Launcher will also alert you if either of them is on. Failure to correct these will also result in a DQ.
Powershot usage
Powershots are not allowed. There will be a 4 stroke penalty for use of a Powershot, with a maximum penalty of 4 strokes per round. These strokes will not be included in the calculation of a handicap.
Tiebreakers
Tiebreakers are determined by using random hole numbers picked by people not involved in the tour and eliminating the worst score. This continues randomly through the scorecards until only 1 player remains.
LAN & IP2IP Mode
Tournament rounds are to be played in either LAN Mode or IP2IP Mode. The Launcher will advise you if you have started in the wrong mode. If you continue to begin your round in the wrong mode, you will be DQ'd.
With the rounds needing to be played in either LAN or IP2IP Mode, it is now possible for you to play your rounds with other members. The only catch is that all players must have the same exact conditions in order to be able to play in this manner. To do this, each player must start the Launcher, log in, and startup the game as they normally would for a tournament round. Once in the game, setup an IP2IP game as you normally would. However, if at any point during the round one of the players gets disconnected, you will not be able to resume your round and will therefore be DQ'd. Playing of tournament rounds with other players is done at your own risk.
All DQ's and Penalties are FINAL . It is the players responsibility to tell the Tournament Director of any problems or mishaps BEFORE playing a tournament round.
All rules are subject to change at any time, at the discretion of the Tournament Director. |
